Now that we know the content of the expansion pass of The Callisto Protocol, there have been some doubts, probably reasonable ones, as to why part of it has not been included in the base version. We are talking specifically about content that has attracted attention, such as the new death animations, since after the launch of the game, no less than 13 new ones will arrive.

That being said, the CEO of Striking Distance and game director, Glen Schofield, has assured on Twitter that it is not cut content at all.

“To be clear: we have not cut anything from the main game to include it in the season pass,” said Schofield. “In fact we haven’t even started working on this content yet. It’s all new stuff that we’ll be working on over the next year. The fans have been asking for even more kills, so we’ve made that a priority next year. People love deaths, that’s why they’ve been featured.”

Everything that will include the season pass

It was just yesterday that we were able to find out about the content that will gradually arrive for owners of The Callisto Protocol season pass. In addition to these 13 new death animations we can find great surprises such as two new game modes: Contagion and Riots. The first will consist of a kind of extreme survival, with even less ammunition, permanent death and less health, while the second will be nothing more than a horde mode where you can account for dozens of enemies.

The Callisto Protocol will arrive on December 2 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
